ABOUT SCOTT

Representative Scott Saiki was born and raised in Hawaiʻi. He attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a graduate of the UH Law School. He is an attorney (personal injury and disability).

 

Since 2017, Scott has served as Speaker of the House
of Representatives. In this position, he is the presiding officer of the House. The Speaker is elected by the members of the House and is responsible for policy and administrative functions.

In 2019, Scott was elected as President-Elect of the National Conference of State Legislatures which fosters bipartisan leadership and public policy initiatives at the state level.

Scott and his wife, Patsy, have a cat named Emi.
